The Backcountry Weekend at Coe Park

Information for Horse Campers
All vehicles with horse trailers must park in a designated section of the Orestimba Corral area.  (People towing horse trailers are strongly encouraged to use a four-wheel drive vehicle.  Although the dirt road into the area is in good condition, there are some narrow, steep sections that require fairly good clearance.)
On Saturday night, you can camp near your vehicle, or you and your horse can pack into remoter areas of the backcountry.  If you want to pack in, be sure to register first at the Orestimba Corral visitor station.
The entrance gate at Bell's Station will be open at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The fee for camping is $40 per vehicle or rig.  There is no limit imposed on the number of people in a vehicle, and carpooling is encouraged.
A shuttle vehicle will be available all day on Saturday and Sunday to transport people to destinations along Kaiser Aetna Road and back to the Orestimba Corral area.
Guided rides and other activities will be offered on Saturday and Sunday.  If your application is drawn, you'll receive a detailed schedule of the activities in plenty of time to make plans.
Visitors must be in their vehicles and heading out of the park by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
